Hi. I’m Jaden Payne, a 24 year old artist who graduated from Siena Heights University with a BFA as a double major in Graphic Design and Art (Photography Focused), along with a Minor in Art History. My one, big dream is to tell stories. If the title, “storyteller” was a true profession, I would run with that. I am currently studying many mediums and processes that will help develop stories in the future.

In my professional career, I am a Graphic Designer specializing in both digital material and publication design with a keen eye for typography, color theory, and how designed material interacts with lens based work. I am currently with Little Caesars Enterprises in Detroit, Mi as a Graphic Designer. Along with this, I have much experience in motion graphics, photo and video editing, and brand design.

In my personal work, I mainly live within a lens, carefully constructing compositions, studying color psychology, being extremely thoughtful about the frame, and utilizing symmetry and repetition to create films and photography projects. I very much enjoy creating sets and performing for the camera. I am also thoroughly intrigued by writing and poetry, actively jotting down stanzas and editing through original screenplays. The vast majority of my passion projects include a combination of these things to create a hearty visual story.

The mission I carry as an artist is to actively create and bring works to life using strict color, visual compositions, unique storytelling, structural design, and originality. While I try to navigate the viewer to exactly where I want them to be, I know that complete control of the viewer is not possible. So, I work to guide the viewer’s emotions as much as I can using my artistic practices that allow the story to tell itself.
